Only Republicans Get to Vote for St. Johns County, Florida County Commission This Year

Loophole-ridden Florida election laws favor incumbents, who have now closed both of our St. Johns County Commission races this year to voting by anyone other than Republicans.
Both races are closed to anyone other than Republicans by virtue of two people signing up as write-ns, closing the Republican primary.
Both races are closed to anyone other than Republicans because our St. Johns County Democratic Party is so ineffectual. As a longtime member of the SJC DEC, I can tell you that it epitomizes Will Rogers' bon mot: "I don't belong to any organized political party. I'm a Democrat."
Congratulations are apparently due to incumbents RONALD FREDERICK SANCHEZ and County Commission Chairman JOHN H. "JAY" MORRIS, JR., who now may be County Commissioners for Life, subject to good behavior (and no FBI investigations or DOJ indictment as befell former County Commission Chairman THOMAS G. MANUEL).
No one but registered Republicans in this crooked county will get to choose county commissioners, once again, this year.
