Reforming Government Purchasing As We Know It

President Bill Clinton ended "welfare as we know it."
Government contracting is too often welfare for the rich.
Too many government agencies, from the St. Johns County County Administration Taj Mahal to the Pentagon, dole out no-bid contracts to their friends and campaign contributors.
It is "Robin Hood in Reverse."
We need to reform government contracting as we know it.
We need transparency.
We need to end no-bid contracting in violation of local, state and federal laws.
Toward that end, I have today asked Florida's St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners and our Sheriff, Property Appraiser, Tax Collector, Election Supervisor, Clerk of Courts, Airport Authority, Mosquito Control District, the Cities of St. Augustine and St. Augustine Beach and the Town of Hastings to disclose all no-bid contracts, place them on their websites, and disclose the annual costs.
The City of Orlando places all government contracts on its websites.
We have a Right to Know.
It's our money.
What do y'all reckon?
See below.
