Predatory Privatization: City Road Thievery Rejected -- Speculative Shipyard Planned Unit Development Approved, 4-1

Twice last night City Commissioners voted against "road vacations" -- allowing Palm Coast realtor ROBERT MILLION dodgy developer PIERRE and PAUL THOMPSON (grandson and great-grandson of the founder of the St. Augustine Record) and California speculators to steal two (2) public roads for a Planned Unit Development at the site of the former LUHRS boat plant off US 1 bordering the Sebastian River.
Viva!
Commissioners heard and heeded citizens, including condo dwellers, the owner of Baker Pest Control and owners of Five Star Pizza and Dunkin' Donuts franchises, all of whose businesses and safety would be adversely affected.
Viva!
Commissioner Leeana Freeman said she never wanted to hear another proposal to vacate a road that is currently being used.
Viva!
The sketchy Shipyard Planned Unit Development was approved, 4-1, Commissioner Nancy Sikes-Kline dissenting.
Thanks to Commissioner Sikes-Kline for the courage of her convictions and asking questions.
Viva!
