MARK KNIGHT has requested that the April 7, 2PM PZB meeting be postponed until May on DAVID BARTON CORNEAL's demand for special rights to turn former Dow Museum of Historic Homes into a hotel in HP-1. Documenting $2 million in State of Florida funds used to preserve Dow Museum of Historic Homes, which Daytona Museum sold to a developer, breaking its word to Kenneth Dow. Enough corporate abuse of power in St. Augustine by developers and putative "non-profits" like the Daytona Museum of Arts and Sciences.
This was shortly after I requested state and city documents on the $2 million state investment and FB posted it.
CORNEAL bought the Dow Museum for $1.7 million.
The State invested $2 million in restoring it.
How he wants to privatize it.
Still up: an April 16, 2015 HARB meeting on the proposed demolition of the historic Carpenter's House, which has survived hurricanes, but may not survive greed.
In secret, behind locked gates, our Nation's Oldest City dumped a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), while emitting sewage in our rivers and salt marsh. Organized citizens exposed and defeated pollution, racism and cronyism. We elected a new Mayor. We're transforming our City -- advanced citizenship. Ask questions. Make disclosures. Demand answers. Be involved. Expect democracy. Report and expose corruption. Smile! Help enact a St. Augustine National Park and Seashore. We shall overcome!
