St. Johns County Sheriff David Shoar Hospitalized

JOHNS COUNTY, FL -- St. Johns County Sheriff David Shoar was meeting with his staff Monday when he passed out, according to Sheriff’s spokesman Kevin Kelshaw. “A rescue crew came and transported him to Flagler Hospital. He was only out for a brief time,” Kelshaw said. Kelshaw could not discuss Shoar’s medical case, but he said Shoar will undergo a series of tests to make sure he’s okay. If Shoar has to undergo an operation for some reason, Kelshaw said the Chief of Staff will take the reigns (sic) while Shoar is in surgery. Kelshaw said Shoar was in good condition Tuesday morning. “I saw him and talked to him this morning. He’s alert and looking forward to the tests and to getting back to work.” Kelshaw said Shoar should be back in the office early next week.
