CONFLICTED $T. JOHNS COUNTY LOBBYI$T THOMAS MARTIN FIORENTINO, JR. 2025 LOBBYING CLIENT$

Our County lobbyist also works for developers. His latest lucrative contract was on Consent Agenda for February 18, 2025. Hoped Commissioners would speak out and vote it down. His contract was renewed. Uneducated, unctuous County Commissioners CHRISTIAN WHITEHURST and SARAH ARNOLD were donee-beneficiaries of FIORENTINO's fundraising; neither of them ever matriculated. Their lack of critical thinking skills was echoed by other Commissioners, who appeared reluctant to question a bagman for right-wing Republicans. Whiny WHITEHURST attempted to move the discussion to noon, despite a scheduled Noon lunch break. FIORENTINO waited until 1 PM until he could make excuses. Finally speaking, FIORENTINO appeared both a bit humbled and inarticulate; so did the County's Intergovernmental Affairs director, both pompously patronizing Commissioners and the public with errant nonsense and baby talk, attempting to attribute $169 million in government grants to the controversial bundler, political fundraiser and influence peddler. The whole world is watching St. Johns County, which once again has employed a Tallahassee lobbyist for County business, despite multiple conflicts of interest including representation of PARC Group (Nocatee developer,, which in 2016 conned gullible Commissioners into releasing it from its legal commitment to provide 40 acres of land for affordable housing! . Nelson said...: In the USA, we see a lot of denial of responsibility for problems among the various branches of government and each of them merely suggesting they aren't responsible for any certain problem. They play hot potato with blame and responsibly and the consequences of their dereliction of duty usually falls on the people they are supposed to represent; 7:56 AM
