WHO IS CORY MARA, A/K/A "DUKE MARA?" (Candidate for Anastasia Mosquito Control Commission of St. Johns County)

1. NOT a federal employee -- material misstatement of fact on his website -- actually works for a government contractor.

2. Twelve-year St. Johns County government employee, 1997-2010, FIRED for computer misuse for personal auctioneering business.

3. Wrote his religion and political affiliation on job application. CANNOT BE ASKED ON EMPLOYMENT APPLICATIONS. DOCUMENTED

4. St. Johns County General Services Manager, Mr. David E. Halstead, wrote in April 24, 1997, "I strongly recommend against" hiring him due to "questionable or bad driving record," including accidents and speeding tickets, fearing automobile collision "liability." DOCUMENTED

5. Hired anyway by St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners. DOCUMENTED

6. Years of continual spotty work attendance and weak performance appraisals at St. Johns County. DOCUMENTED

7. Fired by St. Johns County Administrator for misusing computers for personal profit. DOCUMENTED

8. Sued St. Johns County and Administrator, then settled for only $1150 for himself and $1150 for his lawyer. DOCUMENTED

9. Attended two (2) Mosquito Control meetings, but left early. DOCUMENTED

10. At September 25, 2014 Mosquito Control budget hearing -- without time limit -- made only one obvious non-budget suggestion - Implement TV coverage. DOCUMENTED

11. Filed for County Commission Seat 2 on December 16, 2013, raising some $6,045, withdrawing June 20, 2014. DOCUMENTED

12. Filed to run June 20, 2014 for Mosquito Control, raising $8005 to date to run for a $4800/year position. DOCUMENTED

13. Running for Mosquito Control as "machine Manchurian candidate" of St. Johns County political machine.

14. Wants to change the name of the Anastasia Mosquito Control Commission of St. Johns County (at what cost and new laws and why?).
DOCUMENTED

15. No ideas. Flagler College graduate who can't spell. DOCUMENTED

16. Unqualified politician's son-in-law, (naturally) endorsed by St. Augustine Record. DOCUMENTED Wonder why?

WRECKORD editorial was shriekingly shallow, even for it. I'm voting for Commissioner Jeannie Moeller, who worked with Commissioner John Sundeman and stopped the $1.8 million no-bid luxury five seat Bell jet heliopcter, and got us a full refund on our deposit. Viva!

July 29, 2010 you were heralding Cory Mara as a protected whistle blower. What happened to lessen your opinion of him?

#15. Flagler College graduate who can't spell...

Eh Um... HELICOPTER is spelled wrong!

By the way, I do NOT know Cory Mara. I only found this blog while looking up the candidates online.

Funny how you don't know him personally yet your quick to give your own half truths. Have you never misspelled a word? He is an extremely educated individual and has the know how on howto make a difference. As for all of the other one sided things you have posted, maybe you should interview him or get both sides to each of your accusations before your so quick to judge. Seeing how you don't seem to know both sides, you don't seem qualified yourself to post this nonsense

Interviewed him for hours. Broke his promises. He and his running mate apparently wanted county takeover. Glad they lost. Rebarbative reactionary Republicans -- hobbledehoys in machine's employ. Bu-bye!
