LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Repudiate the huckster
St. Augustine Record
November 5, 2016
Editor: I think I have firsthand knowledge of who the Republican candidate for president really is. The investors who owned the company I worked for here in Florida sued this person for attempted fraud, along with other investors regarding a casino, and won. A few years later one of my own children asked this same person to lend his name to a charity event in New York. He did offer, but for a fee. Again, years later, one of our family paid $10,000 of inheritance funds to attend a series of instruction[al] lectures on how to make money in real estate offered by same Republican candidate for president; learning later that $20,000 more was required.
Now comes multiple class-action lawsuits soon to be heard in federal court on attempted fraud. Notice a pattern?
So, friends and neighbors, would you ever hire someone with this record, among other charges against him, to run your business? Of course not! So repudiate him now and save our country .

St. Augustine
In secret, behind locked gates, our Nation's Oldest City dumped a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), while emitting sewage in our rivers and salt marsh. Organized citizens exposed and defeated pollution, racism and cronyism. We elected a new Mayor. We're transforming our City -- advanced citizenship. Ask questions. Make disclosures. Demand answers. Be involved. Expect democracy. Report and expose corruption. Smile! Help enact a St. Augustine National Park and Seashore. We shall overcome!
