What's next, will Charter proponents vote to send us to re-education camps, Communist Chinese Cultural Revolution Style?

The letter below raises a very good point. Why is our county spending so much on advertising, particularly taking a position on a matter before the voters?

It's demeaning. It's insulting. It's one-sided. We shouldn't have to pay for it.

In the immortal words of Tom Wicker's Washington bureau chief character, Richmond P. Morgan, in the novel, "Facing the Lions, "Anything anybody has to sell you ain't worth buyin'"
