TALLAHASEE POWER LAWYER MARK HERRON HAS A LOT OF EXPLAINING TO DO

Representing RANDY BRUNSON, the Republican who received free or reduced rent from KANTI PATEL, the hotelier who often asks local governments for favors, MARK HERRON also represents both the Florida Democratic Party and Republicans.

This case of divided loyalty is governed by Florida Bar Rules, including the one reproduced below.

So, MARK HERRON, whose side are you on?

The Florida Bar does NOT say you "can reprsent anyone you want to."

As a member of the St. Johns DEC, I have a problem with you conducting training for the St. Johns County Democratic Party, representing the Florida Democratic Party and Democrats, and then taking on the representation of a rogue and a reprobate like RANDY BRUNSON. As the ancient equitable maxim says, "silence gives consent."

I will not be silent about your being a walking conflict of interest, MARK HERRON.

I do not think you should be representing RANDY BRUNSON. I withhold my consent.

MARK HERRON must recuse himself from representing RANDY BRUNSON, or face consequences -- for one thing, no Democrat should trust him to hold their confidences. It's just like former St. Augustine City Attorney GEOFFREY DOBSON at one time representing all the government agencies and developers in St. Johns County.

Is MARK HERRON's dual representation scheme a stench in the nostrils of the State of Florida? What do you reckon?
