Robotic Record Spin: Tweedledum and Tweedleee

Unskeptical St. Augustine Record reporters in costume?

Once dull, since-fired St. Augustine Record Director of Audience/Editor KATHY NELSON insulted The New York Times' veteran Pulitzer Prize winner Walt Bogdanich for "parachuting into" St. Augustine and questioning Sheriff DAVID SHOAR and State's Attorney RALPH LARIZZA over the O'Connell case (six weeks after NELSON moved here), the Record has been in full Nelson (using wrestling terminology). It fired all of its most experienced reporters. The younger reporters, while nice, lack gravitas and skepticism.
The younger reporters are full of spin for the City of St. Augustine, St. Augustine Beach, St. Johns County, its icky Sheriff, and all their works and pomps, and developers and other corporations.
Read todays Record stories on the City of St. Augustine's "decorum" resolution and the resignation of St. Augustine Beach City Attorney DOUGLAS NELSON BURNETT.
No quotes from citizens or legal experts.
No critical thinking skills.
None.
No truth-detecting intelligence here: they're stenographers, not reporters, telling only the government's side.
That's disgusting.
If one read only The St. Augustine Record for local news, without watching meetings, researching and reading this blog, you'd be ignorant. You'd probably support JOE BOLES and make pig-ignorant statements like, "If you don't like it here, you should move."
As the election of Nancy Shaver proved on November 4, 2014, there are more perceptive people than stupid people in St. Augustine.
We, the People know about our crooked leaders, and no amount of caterwauling and anonymous posting will change our minds.
