Dylan Rumrell, owner of SouthernCross Consulting Group LLC, has diversified
experience from interviewing public figures to helping clients navigate complex
property issues. These experiences have provided him with a unique perspective on
interacting with the public and private sectors. In his lobbying and public affairs
activities, Mr. Rumrell benefits from his experience in real-estate development,
broadcasting and public relations. Working with the St. Johns County (Florida)
Industrial Development Authority, he resurrected the Vilano Beach Town Center,
which had been proposed for 20 years. The county had spent time and money
putting in all the appropriate infrastructure and Mr. Rumrell’s expertise helped a
private developer obtain $5,000,000 in Recovery Zone bonds to make the project a
reality. As a result of this project, the county has seen a return on its investment in
infrastructure and the creation of more than 100 jobs. The Vilano Beach Town
Center includes a Publix Supermarket, restaurants, and several other businesses
(opened 2012.)
Mr. Rumrell’s consulting effort also helped the Industrial Development Authority
close over $250,000,000 in bonds for local and state wide projects. Mr. Rumrell
was a previous owner of Ancient City Brewing in Saint Augustine, FL. He has also
started other successful start ups including French Fry Heaven Saint Augustine and
Sunrise Realty of Florida LLC.
Prior to opening SouthernCross Consulting Group, LLC, Mr. Rumrell served as
Senior Project Manager for IGS, a local lobbying company that has over
$100,000,000 worth of Business transactions, including Shands Hospital and
Proton Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Rumrell was also an owner with Real
Florida Real Estate Company of St. Augustine. This experience in marketing, real
estate development, management and sales exposed him to working with a variety
of governmental agencies. Mr. Rumrell’s ability to generate fresh ideas resulted in
his creation, production and hosting of four sports-oriented radio shows.
He also organized the sports-broadcast departments of two Jacksonville radio
stations and served as media liaison for the Golf Channel. While working in
broadcast, he drew on his communications experience as a guest speaker and
campaigner in local government races.
Mr. Rumrell was appointed in 2019 to the St. Augustine Beach City Commission
by his peers, due to a vacancy on that board. Mr. Rumrell then ran unopposed in 2020 and is currently the Mayor.
Mr. Rumrell earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Flagler College
with a minor in public relations. Mr. Rumrell resides in St. Augustine Beach with
his wife Angela and their 5 children.

Apparently these people are supposed to know no one and not advocate for the county when in office or position to do so. What kind of logic or reason goes into that sentiment?
"Pete" posted his response with alacrity, in record time. Thanks to louche lobbyists working for Senator-deveooper TRWe have no lobbying registration in SJC. Why does "Pete" care about who we hire as County Attorney, as long as it is the law firm of the Florida House Speaker-designate? Why so angry, "Pete?" Who is "Pete?" What is the interest of "Pete" in BRADLEY, GARRISON & KOMANDO? Their sins have found them out. Florida House Speaker-designate should not benefit from local government contracts in Florida. Commissioners should not have voted for "influence." FBI and FDLE should investigate this outrage. Only "Pete" supposes that BGK is entitled to government largesse. It's our money.
You complained about lobbying period until I said what I said now all of a sudden focus on registration, as if that would change your opinion about lobbying... which by the way you can do yourself if you actually cared and applied yourself. But you'd rather complain. Proof and evidence for "sins" is whatever you make up I'm sure. Still waiting for proof and evidence for walking on water, resurrection, and stolen election.
Huh? "Pete" is incoherent, ill-informed and lacks common sense or a moral compass. Has BGK, or those acting in concert with it, paid an anyone to lobby on its behalf? What accounts for the secrecy, flummery and nincompoopery of "Pete?" Has BGK paid "Pete" to post non sequiturs, logical fallacies and ignorance on this blog? Who is "Pete?" What agreements, understandings and relationships does "Pete" have with SJC, BGK and those who want a corporate criminal defense lawyer to be hired as County Attorney? Why won't KOMANDO and BGK reveal their client list? Not about "privacy."

Ok so if Komando was on a St. Johns County "lobby registration," would that be ok since it's not about the fact that St Johns County doesn't have one? Are you gonna answer even one question I ask on this blog?
Why does Pete care? Why do you care? Why ask why... why not just answer questions and defend your position with nuanced rationale and proof and evidence for your claims? Why stop at accusations, assumptions, and insinuations? Proof and evidence or it's libel.
