Come speak out on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at St. Johns County Auditorium, 500 Sebastian View. Meeting begins at 9 AM. This item is on agenda at the heel of the docket, as agenda item 9.
Fun fact No. 1: If controversial SJC BoCC Chairman CLAY MURPHY and Commissioners don't move to waive the rules on Tuesday morning, May 19, you won't be able to talk about SUNTRAIL route until that item is heard, potentially hours after the meeting commences, because under the Board of County Commissioner's archaic rules, public comment is reserved for items not on the agenda.
Fun fact No. 2: Some past SJC BoCC chairs are guilty of have making citizens wait around for hours, as was the case under defeated SJC Chairman JEREMIAH RAY BLOCKER, developer puppet, married to a Circuit Court Judge, As part of his payback tour, developer mouthpiece JEREMIAH RAY BLOCKER and his louche co-counsel, ZACHARY WATSON MILLER, scion of the founder of ENGLAND-THIMS and & MILLER engineering firm, recently issued subpoenas duces tecum for citizens opposing the hideous Agrihood development).
Dear St. Johns County Commission Chairman Murphy, Vice Chair Taylor, and Commissioners Joseph, Murphy and Whitehurst:
1. Would you please be so kind as to vote to preserve our quality of life, in what former County Commissioner I. Henry Dean calls "our village?"
2. I heartily agree with the City of St. Augustine Beach and other St. Johns County residents who are concerned about the unsafe proposed route of the proposed SUNTRAIL in St. Augustine Beach: in Ralph Nader's words, the route is "unsafe at any speed."
3. My friend, Capt. Lee Geanuleas, U.S.N. (Ret..) recalls that I was the only person in 2019 to speak to St. Augustine Beach City Commission in support of the bike trail concept. I strongly support bike trails. But safety concerns amidst overdevelopment pressures must be addressed by our County government. They must be solved now before our SUNTRAIL route is finalized
4. President John F. Kennedy's favorite conservative British politician was Lord Falkland, who said, "When it is not necessary to change, it is necessary NOT to change."
5. Commissioners, "I encourage you to change the SUNTRAIL through St Augustine Beach to a safer alternative route.
Thank you!
With kindest regards, I am,Sincerely yours,
