From The National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche at Mission Nombre de Dios:

Temporary Traffic Delays and Rolling Road Closures Planned for National Eucharistic Pilgrimage Procession on Sunday, May 24

Temporary traffic delays and rolling road closures are planned in downtown St. Augustine on Sunday, May 24, beginning at approximately 5 p.m., to accommodate a Eucharistic Procession as part of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage launch weekend hosted by the Diocese of St. Augustine and the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche at Mission Nombre de Dios.

The procession will travel from the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche at Mission Nombre de Dios to the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine along San Marco Avenue and the Bayfront.

Motorists should expect temporary traffic delays and intermittent road closures along portions of:

• San Marco Avenue

• South Castillo Drive

• Avenida Menendez

• Cathedral Place

As the procession moves through downtown, vehicular traffic on Cathedral Place will be redirected to King Street, which will temporarily operate as a two-way street until participants have safely cleared the area.

Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible and allow additional travel time Sunday evening.

Procession route maps, event schedules and additional pilgrimage information are available at:
