ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Five people, including two elected officials, are once again facing charges related to a fake voter guide scandal in 2024 in St. Johns County, according to court records.

On Monday, Nov. 2, the State of Florida refiled charges in the case against current county commissioners Sarah Arnold and Christian Arnold, former St. Augustine mayor Dylan Rumrell, Jamie Johnson, and Brianna Jordan.

The five are once again facing two misdemeanor counts of criminal conspiracy and unauthorized voter guides.

The initial charges against the five defendants were filed in civil court.

(Ed's note: WRONG -- Monopolistic GANNETT has know-nothings running its newspapers.  They meant to say Circuit Court and not "civil court."  What lugubrious goobers.)

However, because all misdemeanor charges were dismissed without prejudice, they could be refiled in county court.

Jordan, the woman accused of creating the falsified guide, had also faced a felony charge of tampering with evidence, but that charge was dismissed with prejudice.

Arnold, Whitehurst, and Rumrell saw their charges dismissed in early October, while Jordan's charges were dropped at the end of the month.
