ST. AUGUSTINE SEAWALL LEAKING -- HERE'S PHOTO FROM SEPTEMBER 23, 2008, SHOWING WHAT COULD BE AMERICA'S NEXT LOWER NINTH WARD

Six million dollars to replace the seawall -- the new one proposed by Chief Operating Officer John Regan is classy, a promenade ten feet wide, while preserving the original seawall.

We need a new seawall before our historic district is destroyed by a hurricane, or even normal tides (see above).

We need a St. Augustine National Historical Park, National Seashore and National Scenic Coastal Highway, of which the seawall would be an attractive element.
