Anastasia Mosquito Control of St. Johns County adopts Gay Pride Proclamation

Update on local St. Johns County Gay Pride Month proclamations -- Our Anastasia Mosquito Control District of St. Johns County on June 17, 2021 joined our twin itty-bitty cities of St. Augustine and St. Augustine Beach in passing resolutions honoring LGBTQIA+ Pride Month.

Thank you, AMCD Commissioners!

St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners -- and its County Commission Chairman, JEREMIAH BLOCKER, a Ponte Vedra real estate lawyer serving as a Florida National Guard Major -- have, through the 39-lawyer MARKS GRAY corporate defense law firm, filed a maladroit legal brief, ignoring the facts and law and inartfulbly defending St. Johns County's hostile, discriminatory actions toward our LGBTQIA+ community.

U.S. District Court Chief Judge Timothy Corrigan will conduct a hearing on a preliminary injunction on June 22, 2021 at 10 AM. Plaintiffs have requested an order that SJC BoCC discuss the Pride Proclamation.

Is that too much to ask? Like other bigots, St. Johns County would rather fight than switch.

As LBJ said to Congress after Selma, "And we shall overcome!"
