CONSOLATION PRIZE: MARKY MINER -- AIRPORT AUTHORITY APPOINTMENT

Long groomed to run for Congress, louche local Republican MARKY MINER apparently decided not to run in 2016 because St. Johns County is split between the 4th and 6th Congressional Districts, something his handlers and enablers fought with inept arguments that it would reduce "our" "clout" if "we" were in two Congressional Districts, while previously saying it would "reduce" "our" "clout" "if" "we" had only three state legislators instead of seven.

Go figure.

So the dull Republicans have appointed dodgy MARY MINER to the St. Augustine Airport Authority.

It's yet another consolation prize -- many Republican candidates pay MARKY MINER's spouse, CHERYL MINER, $500 for hagiographic photography work -- the sort of photography that makes ninnies, crooks and energumens look angelic -- worth every penny.

MARKY MINER was offered free use of airplanes owned by the Nocatee developer -- he turned them down but he didn't turn them in.  MARKY MINER once emitted nebbish pejoratives on Facebook in the midst of President Obama's speech on foreign affairs.  When I pointed out that as a member of the National Guard, President Obama is his Commander-in-Chief, MINER snapped back, "Governor Rick Scott is my Commander-in-Chief."

What a corporate pawn and dupe, without intellect or class or appreciation for the Constitution.  On November 1, 2011, as Vice Chair of the St. Johns Commission (between stints in the National Guard), MARKY MINER refused to gavel to order the gun-toting people making gun noises and gun gestures, calling supporters of the St. Augustine National Historical Park and National Seashore "Nazis" and "Communists," and comparing me to "Hitler, Stalin and Goebbels."

Obviously, the corrupt political machine of which Sheriff DAVID BERNERD SHOAR f/k/a "HOAR" is head has plans for MARKY MINER.

So, yes, Governor RICHARD LYNN SCOTT has named MARKY MINER to the St. Augustine Airport Authority -- here is SCOTT's press release.
