Honoring Two Deserving St. Augustinians

Historian and community activist Gerald Eubanks has rightly suggested two new names for familiar places:

o Maude E. Reddick Park, for the new park at the corner of King Street and U.S. 1 -- Ms. Reddick was the Supervisor of Colored Schools in St. Johns County and became assistant Director of Schools before her retirement in 1966.

o Ronald Bailey Way, for West King Street, in honor of Lt. General Ronald L. Bailey, a three star general who is the U. S. Marine Corps’ Deputy Commandant for Plans, Policies and Operations, who grew up in West Augustine.
