FLORIDA CHAPTER 2019-155 DOES NOT END GOVERNMENT REGULATION OF TREE CUTTING. READ IT HERE. BUT WATCH OUT for unethical tree-killing services, like the one I called out on Facebook, claiming that there are no more government regulations on tree-killing in Flori-DUH.
When I pointed out by telephone voicemail message that this was false advertising, it removed my comment. I await answers to questions.
Its website says a tree is "too big" if it "blocks sunlight" and "dangerous" if it hangs over a road. Are you kidding me? It's called tree canopy. We love it here.
We don't need unethical unscientific arborists or tree-killers seeking business and working in St. Augustine and St. Johns County illegally, without required permits, while making false claims in advertising campaigns encouraging people to kill their trees.
Shall we report AIM TREE SERVICE of Volusia County to FTC for violations of Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act of 1914?
Please share your experience with tree-killers. Sasha Martin and I both spoke to County Commission August 6, 2019 about desuetude of enforcement of laws against clearcutting. Long delays at county in amending its ordinance. Why?
Fraudfeasors, beware: Florida has strong laws to detect, deter and punish elder financial abuse.
In secret, behind locked gates, our Nation's Oldest City dumped a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), while emitting sewage in our rivers and salt marsh. Organized citizens exposed and defeated pollution, racism and cronyism. We elected a new Mayor. We're transforming our City -- advanced citizenship. Ask questions. Make disclosures. Demand answers. Be involved. Expect democracy. Report and expose corruption. Smile! Help enact a St. Augustine National Park and Seashore. We shall overcome!
