Guess what?

The St. Augustine Record's tepid year-end wrap-ups this year have no top story (Big surprise).

Past years since 1999 have varied in their approach, but this year there is no ranking, just "random" look-backs.

Wonder why?

The Record is too chicken to admit that electing Mayor Shaver was a triumph of democracy and the human spirit.

The Record was dull in its election coverage, wrong in its endorsement and wacked to coddle constantly the ancien regime.

Post-election, the Record has catered to the ancien regime and ignored BOLES' refusal to shake Mayor Shaver's hand in the presence of Florida Supreme Court Justice Peggy Quince (in the presence of hundreds of well-wishers for whom City Hall denizens refused to provide enough chairs, insisting on leaving superfluous big 'ole staff tables in the room, marring the occasion).

The Record is a part of the corruption and a part of the problem here in St. Augustine for too long.

Let the healing begin.

Forgive the Record's cozy courtiers, Lord, as they errantly continue do what President Barlet said in "The West Wing":

If things are so great Ed, how come they haven't moved the slave market away from those ugly electrical boxes yet? They moved the veteran's monument away from them and they did so with great fanfare. It was a page one story in the Saint Augustine Wreckit! Does this mean that the city thinks less of the black slaves history than they do of the veteran's history? I don't see any triumph of democracy or the human spirit at work on this situation — I just see more mendacity!

Those ugly electrical boxes are fast becoming a symbol of the hypocrisy of the Green Wall of $ilence and their Pollyannaish baloney! Let's get that slave market moved Ed!

PS; On my early morning walk this am there was a homeless person sleeping in the slave market. Are city goon squad cops slacking? Is John Regan really worth $133,000 per year, plus perks, plus LAVISH retirement package? God forbid if a tourist should see a homeless person. That would for sure blemish the 'visitor experience', negatively affect the 'branding' of the city, and create turmoil in the merchant's 'networking'!

Maybe the goon squad cops were away celebrating with their compatriots at Gary Fishell's racist sing along in LA that celebrated the death of Mike Brown. Gary Fishell an Elks Lodge member and an ex-investigator for the federal government.

I was surprised, given all of the excessive coverage of cop popping in America, that Scott Pelley, quintessential corporate butt suck, did not cover this MAJOR story.

Baloney is the strongest political force on the planet.

SAR and COSA management still lack humility and ability. In their stunning defeat, they were taught a lesson by We, The People, who sent JOSEPH LESTER BOLES, JR. packing. No more EEO violations, no-bid contracts, waste, fraud, abuse, misfeasance, malfeasance, nonfeasance, flummery, dupery and nincompoopery. Merry Christmas and Happy 450th -- government accountability was the gift We The People gave ourselves on November 4, 2014.

And miles to go before I sleep...

Sometimes the full on Pollyanna can be lacking in humility Ed, especially for those who have been victimized by these ass wipes...

Back at you with the season's greetings, and thanks for all you do!
