While allegedly stiffing his family on child support, St. Augustine Mayoral candidate BILL McCLURE spent thousands of dollars on his 2012 County Commission election campaign

From St. Johns County Supervisor of Elections website,  "Political Tourist" BILL McCLURE:

• claimed residence at 353 Brantley Harbor Drive, in District 3, a rental
• spent nearly $20,000, claiming most of it was his own money.  

BM did so while allegedly stiffing his family on child support at the same time -- read docket sheet here.

Candidate's Statement

I am Bill McClure, President and CEO of Medi Companies in St Augustine -- a technology company engaged in the business-side of healthcare, insurance, and specialty software development. Prior to my current position, I was a principal owner in one of the largest physician\'s practice management companies in the country, which I sold and took public. After that, I developed one of the largest web-based insurance claims processing companies in the United States, which I sold in 2003. I moved to Saint Augustine in 2004, and live here with my two boys. Blake is 12 years-old and attends 6th grade at Pacetti Bay Middle School; Bryce is 10 years old and is in the 4th grade at Mill Creek Elementary School. I grew up in Gainesville; visiting St Augustine and Crescent Beach regularly -- weekly during the summer months. I have a passion for the beach, and enjoy tennis and motocross, as well. I attended the University Florida in Gainesville and the University of South Florida. After receiving my undergraduate degree, I studied in the Harvard University’s Advanced Management Program as a graduate student. I began my political training as a Senate Page in the Florida Senate, and then continued as a Political Aide to Florida Senator George Kirkpatrick, from Gainesville. I have has been active in the campaigns of former Florida Governor Bob Graham, Florida\'s US Congressman Cliff Stearns, and President George W. Bush. I have served my community as a board member of the Kiwanis Club, Boys and Girls Club, All Children’s Theatre, and The YMCA.
