On May 2, 2016, Election Supervisor Victoria Oakes certified that Sheriff candidate Debra Maynard had obtained at least 1608 verified signatures -- she will be on the Republican Primary ballot August 30th, the old-fashioned way -- by signatures of registered voters and hard work of volunteers.
Meanwhile, Sheriff DAVID BERNERD SHOAR is not collecting signatures -- nope, nope, nope.
SHOAR f/k/a "HOAR" is just going to fork over some of that developer cash to pay his way onto the ballot. See list of his $299,480 in contributions, below.
