More Than $3000 Spent Removing Seats For Public At St. Augustine City Commission, Providing Cushy Chairs for Eleven (11) All-White City Directors

Model #4526 Global Tamiri High-Back Chairs

    It's our money!

In 2007, alarmed at activists criticizing his reign of error, City Manager WILLIAM BRUCE HARRISS ordered fancy-bears cushy chairs and high school cafeteria tables for the rear of the City Commission meeting room, allowing the Fire Code rating to be changed, removing 60 seats for the public, requiring people at packed meetings to sit outdoors open to the elements, rain, heat and cold under a loggia at the Lightner Museum Courtyard, sitting on wooden chairs watching an inaudible tv as people walked to and from the bathrooms. It cost taxpayers more than $3000, just for the cushy chairs.
