TIME FOR A NO-BRIBERY CAMPAIGN

TIME FOR A NO-BRIBERY CAMPAIGN IN FLORIDA

We need an anti-bribery campaign in the State of Florida, St. Augustine and St. Johns County.

People who are offered bribes should turn in the bribepayer.

People who are asked to give bribes should turn in the public official.

A culture of corruption can be changed one day at a time, just as courageous citizens have done in Sicily.

Stand up to bribepayers and bribetakers, who destroy our democracy.

Interesting that there's never been one editorial in local newspapers against bribery, even though we've had criminal convictions, even though dodgy developer DAVID BARTON CORNEAL has hired four (4) officials to work for him -- Messrs. MARK ALAN KNIGHT, DONALD A. CRICHLOW, PAUL M. WEAVER, III and JEREMY MARQUIS.

Ir ia unknown CORNEAL hired fired City Planning and Building Director KNIGHT.

But CORNEAL evidently hired CRICHLOW when CRICHLOW was still a City Commissioner, and CRICHLOW has lobbied City officials in violation of 112.313(14), prohibiting lobbying by former Commissioners for two years.

CORNEAL intentionally hired 40% of the Historic Architectural Review Board -- JEREMY MARQUIS (since resigned) and Vice Chair PAUL M. WEAVER, III, as part of his team. There is apparently no "recusal" exception to the Sunshine law, so the two may have violated Sunshine laws as well as ethics laws.

Is the culture of corruption in the State of Florida that pervasive that the WRecKord can't write an editorial calling for whistleblowing?

What do you reckon?
