The whole world is watching

The whole world is watching St. Augustine.

Our 450th birthday on September 8, 2015 promises to show off St. Augustine’s history and nature to the world and help make permanent improvements in our City for all residents and visitors.

Our City and County are in the process of healing from self-inflicted wounds of the past.

The truth is winning over “the people of the lie,” who ran this place for too long, leading Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to call it "the most lawless" in America.

The FBI is investigating corruption in St. Johns County, including Sheriff DAVID BERNARD SHOAR, thanks to the courage of the family of Michelle O'Connell and the persistence of Folio Weekly, The New York Times, PBS Frontline, Dateline NBC, the Guardian, First Coast News and Dr. Phil, et al.

Environmental Justice, Equality and Liberty have defeated pollution and bigotry.

Work tirelessly for reform and protection -- we will have a St. Augustine National Historical Park and National Seashore, first proposed in 1939 by Mayor Walter Fraser, Senator Claude Pepper, et al. www.staugustgreen.com

This Clean Up City of St. Augustine blog has played its small part since April 2006, with a mere 7189 blog posts and 821,612 page views.

In the words of the Fleetwood Mac song:

Don't stop, thinking about tomorrow,
Don't stop, it'll soon be here,
It'll be, better than before,
Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone.
