FDLE AGENT RODGERS SUES DEPUTY BANKS

Special Agent Rusty Ray Rodgers filed a state law counterclaim against Deputy JEREMY BANKS for malicious prosecution of a civil lawsuit in BANKS' federal civil rights complaint against Rodgers. FDLE has been dismissed as a defendant, leaving Agent Rodgers. (Federal courts may hear state law sclaims under UMWA v. Gibbs, a federal court lawsuit may be filed under pendent jurisdiction of a state law claim arising out of a common nucleus of operative facts.)
