Under right-wing leadership of Dr. WILLIAM LEE PROCTOR, Ed.D., Flagler College was not a beacon of academic freedom, but a place of fear, where faculty members were fired for speaking out for equality and nondiscrimination. In 2005, Flagler College students who were current local police officers and deputies spoke during a public administration class, speaking with pejoratives of the people they wanted to shoot or kill. Is it getting better now?

Suffice to say the shooter didn't take classes on race and ethnicity if they were even offered. His parents were probably Republicans... encouraged him to think inside the right wing box. Many kids like that in this county.. parents are conservative and tell their kids not to listen to certain things at school and instead watch FOX news and read Bible.
Do you have a link to the article or information about former Flagler students now police making pejorative statements? Can we get some more info? What did they say, who were they etc.
The professor in a Public Administration class for night students did not correct or denounce their use of the N-word to describe people they would like to shoot or kill. No link. No names. Confidential source, present in classroom, told me at the time.
PROCTOR's nickname was "Massa Proctor."

I also witnessed a professor at SJRSC say the N word in class along with a stream of other racial slurs "as a joke" or to thumb his nose at those who say those words shouldn't be mentioned. I don't know if he was an actual racist or if this was some kind of reaction to the critical race movement. I took race and ethnicity at a major university and this is something that would never happen in that class or even in those institutions. He was a history teacher by the way. I believe some of this behavior is reactionary based opposition. You've got some bad people down here with the GOP being irresponsible in more ways than I can count.
